Got a Mason Genie and thought it would work with your Agee jars? Yeah… so did I. The lids fit. The mouth is the same size. So surely the Mason Genie should work, right? Well, I put one and one together and got three. After about 30 attempts, one successful seal, and a fair amount of swearing, I finally figured out what was going on — and found a jar here in New Zealand that works every single time for me. It's my 2–2–1 Lite Citrus Cordial: 2 cups freshly squeezed juice, 2 cups water and 1 cup of sugar. I'm making two batches today (lime and pink grapefruit) and instead of citric acid, I'm using tartaric acid for a sharper, slightly more sour kick. So, less sugar, more tart, ridiculously easy — let's get into it.

I've harvested my first single-stem cauliflowers, picked enough strawberries for tomorrow's breakfast, and was delighted with my crop swap haul including a white alpine strawberry plant, a peach tree seedling and a pack of @tuigardenandhome Black Beauty zucchini seeds that I'm about to plant out now. Yummo! 😆🌱
